LCX®-30Y – carbon composite type 3 cylinders

Based on international design standards, Luxfer’s LCX®-30Y cylinders offer the potential for service lives of up to 30 years. In environments where SCBA use is intermittent, fire service and industrial users have the opportunity to use LCX-30Y cylinders longer than 15 years, the service life mandated for standard carbon composite cylinders. Features and benefits: Potential cylinder service life of up to 30 years. Though somewhat heavier than Luxfer’s standard LCX-15Y cylinders, LCX-30Y cylinders still provide up to 60 percent weight savings over comparable steel cylinders. All carbon-wrapped models have a five-year requalification cycle. Complies with all regulatory standards and SCBA OEM requirements. Notes: All cylinders have a 30-year service life.
