On Thursday 19th March, Governor Gavin Newsom issued an order that directed California residents to stay home or at their place of residence.
As a result, our office staff based in Riverside, California have activated Luxfer’s remote working protocol and are available online and by telephone.
Luxfer has noted that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires critical infrastructure industries to maintain a normal work schedule and continue operations to ensure continuity of products critical to public health and safety. Luxfer Riverside manufactures products which are part of this requirement, including those for emergency services.
Accordingly, we are in production on cylinders related to critical infrastructure, with strong procedures and practices related to social distancing and hygiene in place.
Our other Luxfer Gas Cylinders facilities are outside California and have not been affected by the California executive order.
