Luxfer policy concerning service life extension for fully wrapped composite cylinders

Luxfer Gas Cylinders occasionally receives inquiries about the possibility of extending the service life of Luxfer fully wrapped composite cylinders.

All Luxfer fully wrapped composite cylinders have been designed for specific, limited service life, in most cases 15 years. Currently, no regulatory authorization exists to extend the lives of these cylinders. Moreover, mandated limits on cylinder service life have contributed to an exemplary safety record for these products.

For these reasons, as a matter of company policy, Luxfer Gas Cylinders does not extend composite cylinder service life.
