Luxfer’s Excursion™ line of hoop-wrap cylinders manufactured with patented L7X ® aluminum alloy liners. [Available only in Europe and Asia / Pacific]

Our Excursion product line features hoop-wrap cylinders manufactured with inner liners made from Luxfer’s patented, higher-strength L7X® aluminum alloy, which provides not only superior mechanical characteristics, but also significant weight savings.

The L7X liners of Excursion cylinders are strengthened along the parallel cylinder sidewall with ultra-high-strength carbon fiber wrapping, resulting in a lightweight, compact, high-performance cylinder.

Excursion product line benefits

Charging pressure up to 300 bar.
At 200 bar, Excursion cylinders are up to 55% lighter in weight than conventional steel cylinders and up to 35% lighter than conventional aluminum cylinders.
At 300 bar, Excursion cylinders provide up to 50% more gas capacity, which means fewer cylinders are needed and delivery costs are significantly reduced.
Much more cost-effective than expensive LOX systems.
Stronger threads reduce damage and wear from valving and devalving.
Excellent corrosion resistance.
Non-magnetic and completely compatible with MRI and other high-technology medical imaging systems.
