This section provides important information about the proper use of high-pressure gas cylinders for medical oxygen.

Please remember that medical oxygen is a prescription drug that should be used with proper care like other medications. DO NOT adjust your oxygen flow rate. Your doctor has prescribed the correct flow rate for your specific condition.

Luxfer Medical cylinders store oxygen under pressure. A valve, which releases the oxygen, has been assembled to the cylinder. An adjustable regulator, which sets the rate at which your oxygen flows, attaches to or is integrated with the valve. Your hose and cannula are connected to the outlet of the regulator. Your local supplier will provide these items.
