Luxfer names Omnitek exclusive distributor of CNG cylinders in Peru

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2009)—Luxfer Gas Cylinders and Omnitek Engineering have announced an agreement under which Omnitek is now the exclusive distributor for Luxfer Type 3 lightweight composite cylinders for medium- and heavy-duty compressed natural gas (CNG) conversions in Peru.

Located in San Marcos, Calif., Omnitek develops and sells new natural gas engines and proprietary diesel-to-natural-gas conversion systems. Omnitek (OMTK) is traded over-the-counter on OTCQX.

Werner Funk, Omnitek chief executive, said: “We’re very pleased with this agreement with Luxfer. We intend to aggressively pursue CNG conversions of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses, especially where large volumes of gas and lighter weights are factors.”
